Amir hossein Sheybani is a classical guitarist from Iran. He is currently based in Baltimore, Maryland, where he’s pursuing a masters in guitar performance with Manuel Barrueco at Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University. At 18 years old, he moved to France to study with well-known French guitarist Judicael Perroy at CRR93 conservatory. The following year, he followed his teacher to move to the US to study a Bachelor of Music at San Francisco Conservatory of Music (SFCM) in San Francisco, California. Previously in Iran, he studied the guitar for many years with Shahrokh Rahimi before moving abroad.

Amir has participated in many festivals such as; Aspen Music Festival (USA), Istanbul international guitar festival (Turkey), Javan Music festival (Iran), and has performed at different occasions in California, France, and Iran both in solo and chamber as a conservatory student. The highlights of these performances include; premiere of Malcolm Arnold Guitar Concerto in San Francisco and Bay Area with SFCM orchestra at Caroline hall in San Francisco with conductor Edwin Outwater, Performance at Center for New Music in San Francisco, Concert at Sierra Nevada Festival in Reno, Nevada. Performance at Vahdat Hall and Rudaki Hall in Tehran, and Fakhruddin As’ad Gorgani Hall in Gorgan, Iran.

At competition level, he has been awarded a few times including; 1st prize at Javan Music competition, 1st prize at SFCM concerto competition, 4th prize at Colorado international guitar competition.

In addition to pursuing a performing career,  Amir has been also teaching the guitar consistently in Albany music school and also privately for more than 5 years.
